I offer my work printed on Epson luster photo paper or on premium certified archival Lyve Canvas. All my prints are giclees, meaning that I use all archival materials (museum quality) and inks that won’t discernably fade for 100+ years. The canvas is coated with lacquer that enhances the fade resistance and also provides waterproofing and scratch resistance.
I offer my canvas giclees in two formats:
“Gallery-wrapped” means the canvas is stretched taut and wrapped completely around to the back of the frame so that the fasteners (staples) are not visible. I use 1-1/4 inch deep high quality wood “stretcher” frames. I personally stretch each piece by hand to ensure a snug fit much like the head of a drum with no sagging.
They are complete and ready to hang as is and do not require additional framing. I offer gallery-wraps of my images in both single panels and triptychs (three panels.)
I would like to comment on the quality of gallery-wraps available in the market place - it varies wildly. Mass produced gallery-wraps are often not archival (they will fade quickly) and some are even mounted on cardboard and folded to look like a gallery-wrap! This is why I do the work myself - you will know every piece is top quality and made to last.
I believe a canvas giclee print when properly mounted and framed, has the elegant look of a classic painting. Because my coated canvas is not susceptible to moisture, glass is not required when framing eliminating the annoying glare and loss of clarity characteristic of glass. I mount the canvas giclee print on the sturdiest foam-center board available using a strong, durable and acid-free adhesive.
