Images of the Month - July 2005
Spring Cascades

Waterfalls take on a completely different character with each season: dry and warm in the summer; cool and surrounded by color in autumn; frozen and white in the winter; roaring and surrounded by lush new growth in the spring. This month we visit a couple of the cascades I visited during my spring trip to the mountains of North Carolina and the Virginias.

“Vernal Cascade” - Virginia
The luscious first greens of spring complimented by the deeper greens of the mosses in the streambed beautifully frame this picture-postcard waterfall.

“Behind the Veil” - North Carolina
I think the title says it all....

Thanks for looking! I post these images for two reasons: (1) for those who are interested in seeing my latest work and (2) because they are a great way for me to guage reaction. Due to the significant investment in printing images, I often hold off going into the darkroom until I get your reactions.
>>>> I would greatly appreciate your feedback - now.
