Images of the Month - April 2004
Ancient Patterns
I like to call the desert

“Coyote Buttes” - Paria River Wilderness, Utah
This wilderness area of Utah is loaded with surreal landscapes all just waiting for the intrepid hiker to discover. Here, I felt like I was on another planet (an overused description perhaps, but it was what I felt nevertheless).

“Ancient Patterns” - Paria River Wilderness, Utah
More Coyote Buttes, at sunrise.

“Wailea Point” - Oahu, Hawai’i
Resembling the desert Southwest, the erosion process reveals colors and patterns in old lava not so evident in its silvery/gray/black youth.

Thanks for looking! I post these images for two reasons: (1) for those who are interested in seeing my latest work and (2) because they are a great way for me to guage reaction. Due to the significant investment in printing images, I often hold off going into the darkroom until I get your reactions.
>>>> I would greatly appreciate your feedback - now.
