Images of the Month - March 2005
Of Warm and Sultry Places.....

I do love winter (real winter with tons of snow I can snowshoe or ski in, not this erratic freeze and melt cycle that seems to be the norm these days) but this is the point where I begin to dream of baking sun and warm, tropical breezes -- especially when it’s 32 degrees and snizzling outside. Where better to go than Hawai’i...

“Punalu’u Paradiso” - Big Island, Hawai’i
Digging my toes into the black sand beneath the palms fronds sashaying overhead in the warm ocean breeze I thought to myself “heaven is indeed right here on earth”.

“O’er Black Sands” - Big Island, Hawai’i
Standing high above this pristine black sand beach I admired the raw power of the ocean as it turned 60,000 year old lava into fine powder one wave at a time.

“Nonou Neverland” - Kaua’i, Hawai’i
A rich carpet of lush growth spread out as far as the eye could see until it ran into the steeply eroded fluted mountains that rose abrupty like a wall in the distance.

Thanks for looking! I post these images for two reasons: (1) for those who are interested in seeing my latest work and (2) because they are a great way for me to guage reaction. Due to the significant investment in printing images, I often hold off going into the darkroom until I get your reactions.
>>>> I would greatly appreciate your feedback - now.
