I personally custom print every image I sell the time-honored, traditional way - by hand, in the darkroom in limited editions - no Photoshop, computers or digital manipulations. I then sign and number each one with gold ink in the lower left or right hand corner. (example - 23/95). The first number is a counter (i.e. 22 have been previously sold) and the second is the size of the edition. A signed ‘Certificate of Authenticity’ is available by request. Once an edition is sold out, it is retired permanently. Restricting the number of prints increases the value since every one of my images is unique and one-of-a-kind. I reserve the right to produce posters, greeting or note cards and/or use my limited edition images in publications after they are retired. Reproduction of an image in other media further enhances the value of limited edition prints. |
